That Ferrari belongs to Michael Fuxx (sp). He has a long history of getting cars painted in special colors.

Nope
Jay Leno had his own team do it I believe.

The Ferari is a factory car custom painted for Michael as a one off.

Thank goodness. Eww. He has $$, but doesn't have much of a taste in colors.

Its a car, one that falls in the range of 40-60k...i think some people are getting carried away with what they want this car to have...gm will paint, just like they do every other car in the lineup-its more money for them..

Well, theoretically, you could simply run the car through ELPO and then NOT apply paint. I suppose that would be possible.

The problem would come around to your corrosion warranty. GM warranties your Camaro (and other cars and trucks) for 3 years cosmetic and 6 years perforation, if I'm not mistaken. The paint applied by the factory adds to the corrosion resistance of the vehicle. Without it, would you be expecting GM to VOID your warranty? or would you be expecting your custom painter to assume the warranty?

And not to mention, ELPO doesn't look very nice so now you have to decide how much of your car you want to be the custom color and how much you want to show ELPO grey. And I'm far from knowledgeable, but how do you get your underhood to look decent with only ELPO?

If they paint a Corvette and a CTS-V, they'll certainly be painting a ZL1.

I agree with #3, the corrosion warranty thing I'm guessing will make you get some sort of paint. Unless they make you sign some sort of warranty waiver on that part. Seriously doubt it.
