2013 v6 Camaro vs 2013 v6 Genisis coupe

So I've personally driven both and I still like the camaro more. The Genisis weighs less, but just for the overall feel and look I'm with the camaro (maybe its because I own one). The Genisis does have some nice things, but it lacks back seat room (yes more than the camaro). I'm 5'8 and I constantly hit my head in the back seat. As for sound, gotta give it to the genesis (stock). What do you guys think!?

But I'd still take a Camaro over the Genesis...

Nice cars but for the price that makes it worth getting over a LLT, you're close or in SS money.

+1

What happened to Hyundai's being the cheapest in their class ? They are now the most expensive.

Seriously. The 2.0T and 3.8 are nearly the same price. Personally, I don't like the look and if you talk about the 2.0T, slow as a sloth. Such bad throttle response in that. The 3.8 is better, but I feel like had chevy made camaros lighter (if it was possible or not idk) the camaro would be much faster. I do think GM needs to kick it up a notch in the V6 though. All these other v6s are getting beefy each year.

You may want to check your facts, or lack there of.... The 2.0T is a very low 14 second car (like 14.0-14.2) stock, this isn't the underpowered 2.0T offered from 10-12, the new DI 3.8 with 25 more HP and 200 less pounds is easily quicker than the Camaro V6. As for price, i posted this in another thread, and it still rings true.

Actually there is around a 4k difference between the SS and Genesis R-Spec V6, with the Genesis at $28,750 and the 1SS at $32,635, the 1LT Camaro is $25,760 which is probably the closest V6 to the R-spec, minus the R-Specs brembo brakes and performance suspension. honestly, the 2.0T is as quick or quicker than a V6 Camaro and it starts at $24,250 ($26,500 for the performance tuned R-spec 2.0T)
Basically the 2.0T is far away the one that is more comparable to the V6 Camaro performance wise and the 3.8 slots between the Camaro V6 and SS in both performance and price.

Personally I've driven both at the 2.0T felt gutless. You pushed the peddle down and the throttle response was terrible. The 3.8 was better, but 2.0T just seemed like it would be pointless to get seeing as the price difference isn't that much, the mpg difference isn't that much, and you get a faster and more responsive car in the v6.

True, the 2013 2.0T has extreme turbo lag, while the 3.8 would take the v6 Camaro stock. Lighter and more agile. Both vehicle have no rear leg room. The 3.8 engine in the 2010-2012 model is based on the Lambda engine shared by the 370z....which means low torque and high end horsepower. Since I have a camaro now, I love them...but when I had my 3.8, I murdered just about every v6 camaro at the track. No offense to v6ers

I hate Hyundai's, had a 4 hour ride in the back seat of one, was NOT fun... worst knee pain in my life.

Yep..its mostly about the looks. Thank goodness GM nailed the styling else we'd be seeing the Camaro go bye bye again.

If the Camaro weighed what it should weigh (A V6 in the 3,400 to 3,500 lb or less range.) it would be putting the Mustang V6 in its place and running right a long side the new Genesis.

The LFX has amazing potential..with the ability to add somewhere around 40+ HP with just a tune and an intake/exhaust, that would be killer in a 3,400 lb car.

Hopefully the 6th gen will take us there.

Speaking of v6 mustangs. Wonder how they will turn out if ford really gets rid of the live axle in 2015. As for the v6 muscle cars, camaro takes it.
