Insurance for Z28
Chevy dealer in town where I bought my ZL1 called, they got in a Z/28. Went to check it out working on numbers to trade, so I call my insurance guy and ask for a quote, he's telling me it's going to take 2-3 weeks to get a quote. This is BS. Anyone else run into anything like this?

Is he going on vacation?
Are you with a good sized company, or do you have an independent agent that shops it around? You should be able to get a quote, at worst, within a few hours.

I have insurance with AllState, I had to copy and email a copy of the sticker to my agent then he emailed to AllState and they said it would take 2-3 weeks to get a quote. I'm going insurance shopping in the morning

Mine didn't have an issue with the car when I insured it, I'm with Mercury.

I wanted to get an idea how much it is going to cost me later this year when mine gets built. My agent needed a vin # to run to get a quote, they said no vin, no quote. But they also said give us a real vin from a Z/28 and they could do it. So I used one that is for sale that i found at a dealer's website.
Fwiw it came back at $551/yr. I was shocked at being that low, but I do have 3 other cars with them and only 2 drivers to drive em. |

I'm assuming this is a 2015 Z/28. If so, they probably have to build the vehicle profile in order to give a quote. Although 2-3 week wait is ridiculous. I had a similar problem when I purchased my 2014 1LE, they couldn't give me a 100% correct quote due to it behind a 2014 and they didn't have it in their system completely so they gave me a quote for a 2013.
