Am I completely out of my mind....
In thinking about going from my Z to a Jeep SRT? I really enjoy driving the Z. However the added space and decent performance of the Jeep is making me think about moving into that and saying goodbye to the Z.
Just not sure if I'll regret doing it. Anyone here have personal exp in a Jeep SRT that can provide their thoughts? Thanks,

Nothing wrong with that thinking at all, and you can use it 12 months a year!

Yeah, we rarely get snow, mainly Ice. Which the Z would not be good at all in. Heck, it can be a bit dicey in the rain, couldn't imagine driving it in snow or ice.

If you can pick up a used SUV/CUV and keep the Z, best of both of worlds if you are able to do it. Two totally different types of vehicles, even with the high HP SUV.

You will miss it. I'm in a similar situation, I plan on garaging mine and driving a beater during the winter.

Well...I am fortunate to have both!! LOVE our Jeep SRT- can't say enough about it. Awesome time to be a car lover. dunno about an SRT instead of a ZL1- diff animals..but if you go the SRT route, you won't be disappointed.

I actually came from traded in 2014 jeep SRT for my 2017 ZL1 and do not regret it at all.
It is not my daily driver so I know I made the right choice if it was I would not have done it as I did love my SRT. |

The jeep Doesn't perform as good as you think it should. I had one for 6 months and dumped it. If you are set on one, wait for the Hellcat jeep, at least it can 0-60 in 3.5

The problem with ZL1 and all Gen 6 Camaro is relative lack of useable space for stowing stuff, but completely apples and oranges, would get a beater and keep ZL1

My buddy has a SRT jeep and I absolutely love it. However we're talking about 2 different types of cars here. A performance coupe, vs a performance suv. This should go without saying buy the ZL1 has the speed advantage and looks advantage.
Besides do you really want to trade in your car after a year? Your eating all that money you lost driving off the lot so quickly, and trading it for a car with even worse depreciation. I'm trying to be optimistic but your best bet is to get a decent daily driver. You can lease a dodge ram v6 for $180 a month. I have one my self and love it, the penstar V6 gets me 16mp city and over 23mpg highway.

I thought of either waiting, or leasing the SRT till the TrackHawk was more readily available, then moving over to it. Just kind of mulling over all the options and many thoughts right now. Will be hard to let go of the Z, that is for sure. I think a little less difficult if I could go right into a TrackHawk though.
