Just put on ZL1 10 spokes on my car and i love them.
Only problem is now my car looks like it is sitting up higher. I am going to put 1" drop springs on it (probably BMR).

So here comes my question.. Everyone says do the sway bars too with the springs but i dont track my car, i just daily it right now.
I read that the zl1 bar, LCA's, and end links are not too expensive but do i need it? is it a must-do?

You do not need the rear sway bar, the springs will help stiffen up the ride a little but it will sacrifice some ride quality.

Did you change tire and or wheel size?

Both. stock ss wheels(20x8 & 20x9) and tires(245/45r20 & 275/40r20), to ZL1 wheels(20x10 & 20x11) and tires(285/35r20 & 305/35r20).

It leaves a bigger gap from the tires to the fenders & quarters. I assume from thinner tire profile?

Maybe "need" wasn't the right word. Do i want it, is the ride much different on everyday roads? and is it worth the couple hundred bucks

A heavy duty rear sway bar coupled with the stock ss front sway bar will do wonders on handling.

I would either (1) install a FE4 (2012+ SS coupe) front stabilizer bar and a FE5 (ZL1) rear stabilizer bar or (2) install front and rear JPSS stabilizer bars. I did the former for budget reasons, and the car handles exceptionally well now.

Also, I would suggest Hotchkis coil springs over BMR coil springs. You will not be disappointed with the ride quality or stance.

Sway bars are not hard to replace. Have the springs and alignment done and then decide is my vote. Bars won't change your height or alignment unless you change the rear to an outboard mount (FE4+). Then you will need new lower control arms and an alignment. Or change the control arms when you do the springs. From what I have read the new arms retain the mounts for the FE3 sway.

Might as well do it. You're gonna want it later....its a given.

The ZL1 rear sway kit is inexpensive and, IMO, needed on the early models with the inboard mounted rear sway.
While at it....might want to replace the front sway end links too.
