Hood Pins

Hey guys has anyone installed hood pins? I have no idea if they would even look good but just wondering what everyone thinks. Any pics/links would be great. Thanks!

Racers use them to keep their hood on but get rid of the weight of the shocks that gold them open as well as the locking mechanisms that hold them down (at least that is what this guy with a race car told me). Also, they are used for looks. I like them and think they give the car a more aggressive look, but that is just my opinion!

IIRC back in the day when hood pins were popular, the wire holding the clip did not connect to the front grill with such a long cable, the pin was secured with a short cable to one of the mounting screws on the hood right next to the pin. Nice and short and thus did not scratch the paint at all.

Plus it easier and faster to access the engine.
