Changed my mind on exhausts - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I've been planning on doing the Corsa cat-back for awhile now. Today I stopped by Tom Oates Automotive, a local shop (thanks to the guys at SEPA5 for recommending them) and got to hear some options. In the end I went with the Borla S-Type axle-back system. It really sounded nice. I'm waiting on some custom door sills to be delivered and then I'm having everything put on at once. I'll post some videos as soon as the install is done.

S-Type? You meant the catback for the SS?

I don't believe Borla makes the Touring, S-Type, and ATAK for the V6....just one setup.

Did you listen to it on the SS before hand? Will sound much different on your V6, but may not be too bad. I'll be curious to see what you think of it.

Holy Crap! You just saved me a ton of aggravation. You're right, I listened to it on an SS. I assumed it was available on the V6. After a 10 minute call to both my shop and Borla, we figured out there's only one system available for the V6. Borla says it sounds close to the "S" but not. I'm not taking any chances. I know I like the sound of the Corsa. I was trying to save a buck or two. I've changed my mind again and ordered the Corsa. Thanks KMPrenger!!!

I personally think the borla on the v6 sounds like crap. Way way to much of an import sound for my liking.

Borla actually makes a Touring, S-Type, and ATAK for the mustang V6, but dropped the ball for our beloved Camaros. Just one system that seems like they just threw it together from the parts bin.

Now I have heard a couple V6ers here running Borla Pro-Xs (I think anyways) with some headers and that does sound good.

Anyways...congrats on your Corsa!
