This car show is hosted by the Arthritis Foundation/Cops for Kids. All proceeds go to juvenile arthritis. You can find the info on their web site Auto Show for Arthritis

I can certainly try to be there (since I live here!). July is still a few months out so no promises.

I'm glad to see an intrest in this still. It was quite lonely there last year. It was outstanding, I did not mind spending all day walking around talking. Everyone was so freindly and the band wasnt that bad. And dont forget "Its all about the kids!" You know I'll be there.

Auto Show for Arthritis, Saturday, July 17th, 2010

The entrance to the Auto Show is at the foot of Hamilton, where you will enter Festival Park on the riverfront.

The Auto Show for Arthritis (formerly Heart of Illinois Classic Auto & Bike Show) is presented by Peoria Plaza Tire, in conjunction with the Arthritis Foundation and Cops for Kids and sound provided by 3D Sound.
We are currently working out details for the upcoming 2010 Auto Show for Arthritis. Check back often for updates!

Proceeds benefit the nearly 300,000 children under the age of 17 affected by juvenile arthritis. Partnered together with Cops for kids we raised over $12,000 in 2008. Cops for Kids supports "Take a kid to a car show". They are an ongoing program, staffed by volunteers, to present to the children of our neighborhoods, police officers as a positive influence in their lives.

I'm from Chicago many years ago. My sister lives in MelrosePark,cuz is in Norridge and you get the picture. I would love it if you can get some of your group to come. If there is a group I'll try to get it so we and park together.

Did you know that there are over 13,000 children affected with Arthritis in our state? All the states surruonding us are in the single numbers.
