New 4l80e guy with a few questions

Hey guys, I just finished my M6 to 4l80e swap and was looking for some feedback. I am curious as to what gear you guys are racing in. I have a 2010 ss with a huron speed single, stock rear with 4l80e and pcs-2000 trans controller. When drag racing, are you guys shifting manually? Or just putting the trans in OD, Drive, or What at the Strip? My thought was to leverage the footbrake to launch but not sure which gear is preferred.

All opinions are welcome, this auto is new to me.

I left the shift selector in OD and let the controller do the work!

how's everything working out for you? glad you got the swap finished!!!

Thanks Justin, it is running very well. Still getting my shift points dialed in for the daily driver portion but it has been good so far. I called Jakes to ask about running at the track and one of their techs by the name of Jeff said not to run it in overdrive at the track. He said it would burn up the "overrun clutches". I'm not sure what those are but it really didn't make sense to me because I would never get to 4th (OD) gear during a run. I was hoping for some clarification or consensus from the group as to which way was best to run. AFAIK, the controller would take care of it but does it get a load put on it just by the shifter being in OD instead of 3rd gear?

My assumption is that I could also race it with the shifter in 3rd and the PCS-2000 controller would still handle the 1->2 and 2->3 shifts as normal. I don't have anywhere near enough power to run out of gear in 3rd with 3.45's in the stock rear.
