Rochester Democrat and Chronicles Mid Season report Card on the Bills by position

Josh gets an "A"

Josh Allen may not be putting up the eye-popping numbers that he has in the past, but don’t be fooled: He’s having a great season. He’s third in NFL passer rating at 107.6 which, if that holds, would be the best of his career, even better than his 107.2 in 2020 when he was the runner-up in the MVP voting and set career highs for yards (4,544) and TD passes (37).

“He continues to develop, he continues to mature,” coach Sean McDermott said. “His command of our offense, his command of being in some critical situational football environments has been important for us as well in our team’s success. So he is the unquestioned leader of our football team and this organization.”

Allen ranks 24th in completion percentage at 64.4, but that’s a product of his awful game against the Texans; in four other games, he’s been over 70%. Also, among all statistically qualified QBs, his one interception is the fewest in the league and his 17 total TDs (14 passing, three rushing) are third-most. This is the most refined version of Allen we’ve ever seen.

Thank You NYJ

If the Bills look after business on Sunday they are the #2 seed.

Funny how everyone was scratching their head over the NYJ being the fave.

Lost Wages(LV) is not in the game to lose money I heard an interesting tid bit on CBS Sports a few days ago.

It went like this " in 13 other circumstances where a 2-6 team met a team with a record of 6-2 or greater in prime time the 2-6 team won 13/13 times"

Yikes where do they find these stats?

The last number I heard was 85% of wagers were on the Texans to win.

Kevin Harlen is calling the dolphins/bills game. Miami is 9-0 or 9-1 when he calls fins games and Tua starts, since 2022

Miami has not won in Buffalo since 12/24/2016 and that was on an OT FG and a lame duck regime that was soon to be gassed.

So you have never beaten a McD team in Buffalo and have only beaten him once.

I think this holds more weight than the announce team

Like I said before the biggest thing is taking the Fins to lightly.

I think the Coaches and team leaders will have them prepared.

A Did you know moment

With one more rushing TD Josh Allen will be tied for second place with OJ Simpson on the Bills all time list with 57.

OJ did it in 112 games if Josh gets one Sunday it will be game 103.

Thermal Thomas is the Bills all time rushing TD leader with 65 in 173 games

Did you know #2

JA17 is second all time in QB rushing TD's only behind Cam Newton with 75 in 148 career games (19 more to tie)

He is also 13 TD passes behind Cam (194) Josh (181)

Interesting the refs let the bills spot the ball. Not that that was the difference in the game. Interesting none-the-less.

The zebra that was supposed to do the spot looked at where the ball was he could have stopped the ball from being snapped the Bills still had 10 seconds left when they kicked the FG so it was inconsequential.

But if you look at where Hollins put the ball it was right on CBS's line of scrimmage blue line and lined up with the chain gang..

If you really want to complain about the refs we can go there

Two very questionable holding calls kept the Bills out of the end zone before the half

The first was a pancake block by the Schnowman on Porkchop Robinson that Trent Green couldn't billieve.

The second was on Torrence and his hands were clearly inside the shoulders.

Lots of Miami holds on multiple runs probably lots of Bills as well but those two should never have been called..

BTW why didn't your coach ice the kicker with a time out?

I hope they don't fire him at the end of the year as they could accidently get someone good

Holding calls get missed and called all the time. Teams never spot the ball. The two biggest reasons Miami lost was the Mostert fumble and the Poyer hit to the helmet.

Because it was a 61yd attempt. Where the kicker already missed an extra point and hit the upright on another. You don’t give the kicker a warmup shot.

Well going into today I thought Josh would tie a Bills legend for TD's. and he did then passed him.

With the first half rushing TD called back it looked like OJ's record might be safe for another week and it was.

But Josh has passed Joe "The Throw" Ferguson for second in all time passing TD's for the Buffalo Bills

Joe had 181 and JA17 with three TD's today now has 182

Next up HOF JK12 with 237...thats 55 away.
