Today I went to get into my car to go pick up a friend and noticed my driver side door will not open from the outside, the door handle has no resistance but will open fine from the inside. I had slammed my car door earlier and am now regretting it, can I repair this or will I have to replace the handle and latch? Again, the exterior door handle has no resistance but will spring back to original placement yet will not open the door but it will open perfectly from the inside.

Most likely something is broken in your handle assembly
