Of all the threads and post I have been reading over the months while waiting and still waiting on mine this thread is the greatest. I have been laughing my ass off from the start.

I can't waited to get mine so I can start talking to these idiots. My mind is already working on some classic answers. Keep these coming, they definitely are the highlight of my day.

Well, not the dumbest, just misinformed.... but at the Transformers 2 movie last night the Camaro commercial came on and and the girl behind me says to her friend "like I heard there was a recall on the first 300 cause they caught fire"! I turned and corrected her!

these are all great... but i got a small comment...

as for the people who say the V8 doesnt come out yet.....

Can you tell me where they have advertised the V8 outside of specialty magazines and the chevy website????

All of the advertisements have been for the V6. People that arent on this site are only going to see those and therefore not know shit about the V8

"so did u buy a car yet?"
"I ordered the new camaro and waiting for it to arrive"
he said"I know the new camaro its a fourwheel drive automatic"
I said"no its rear wheel drive and it comes with an auto or manual"
he said with a shock in his face"camaro comes in manual???"
I just looked at him and said "yes"

Good point.... however! Has there been any American sports car in history that didn't come without a V8 offered in it!

Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice. That's two. Both are 4cyl, both are sports cars. Question answered, and with LATE MODEL cars!

A lot of people say stuff such as "I like it, but I would have [done this to it instead!]" like they're some designer.

Especially since I work with architects...I think that's why I get a lot of that.

They have a turbo 4-cylinders, not a V6. Other than that, you are right, just they are not considered the classic status that the Chal, Stang, and Camaro have.

True.... to which they could come back at you with a Z28 comment.
They all expect a V8, but they think it isnt coming until next year.
Just like the convertible is a year behind and the car itself is 3 years behind (from concept being shown)

My car is supposedly going to be here next weekend... so hopefully I can have some fun comments from other peopl for you all soon.

Well they actually have the 2.4L Ecotec

The GXP and Redline versions only come with the 2.0L Turbocharged Ecotec.
