So, tonight I built my pressure bleeder for the brakes.

Here are the parts I bought:

from Auto Zone...

Home Depot:

Tire Valve was from O'Reillys.

Now, once I had those, I used the washer from the kit, a o-ring and assembled the brass 'barb' (LFA-192) end together:

Drilled a hole in the master cylinder cap and assembled the top piece in -- I just 'screwed' it in so it had threads:

Then, on the bottom of the cap, I took an o-ring and the bushing (LFA-778) and assembled it (tightening just enough):

Then, taking the master cylinder gasket, I cut the center out (using a utility knife) and installed it:

That pretty much takes care of the cap. I then took the sprayer, drilled a hole (around 3/8) into the tank and began to assembly the 'bolt on' tire valve:

I first screwed the end in from the outside, turned the tank up-side down, fished it into the opening, and then screwed it down until it would go no further:

Bolted it up!

So, everything is 'cleaned' and ready for use. I like this particular sprayer because the handle can be 'locked' open so the pressure will stay and the 'tip' is friendly for the hose:

Pumped it up and the pressure holds! I can use a digital tire pressure gauge on the tire valve so I can tell how much pressure is in the tank. I can also use the value to 'relieve' the pressure!

Once I get all the ZL1 brakes and Dot 4 fluid (Motul), its off to install!

Well, Got my alignment done today. I used the QuickTrick alignment tool to see how close I could get to the spec Justice Pete suggested for my suspension upgrades and ZL1 staggered setup:

Front Camber -1.00
Front Toe 0.00
Rear Camber -0.50 or as close to 0 as you can get.
Rear Toe IN 0.12
Rear Total Toe IN 0.24

After I did the initial adjustment, took it to a local alignment shop to see how close I was.

Here it is:

Boy, I was very close!

I knew the toe was off on the right side, I set the rear camber to -0.4 on my QuickTrick and the Toe to 1/32 " (as close as I could get to what Justice Pete recommended.

The QuickTrick really helped me dial this bad boy to be very close!

So, here is the inital camber setup on the front (using the QuickTrick):

First, I setup and leveled the tool:

Zeroed the unit for the floor:

Then checked the camber (both sides):

So. loosing up the strut bolts, and using the camber adjustment location, adjusted the camber:

Location (just to the right/under the tire valve):

Now, made my adjustments and:

Yep, pretty much on the money (down arrow means negative value)!

Now, the right side was 1.5 and I didn't have room to loosed the bolts on the strut so I decided to wait. I also measured the toe and got it as close as I could (same issue on the right side, didn't have room @ the time).

The rear camber was 0.4 on the left and 0.5 on the right (was adjustable, but I wanted the bushing timed so I left it there). Toe was just about spot on based on the degrees - inchs conversion.

The tool was really close! Very impressed...

Here is the final settings (one more time) after taking it to the alignment shop:

Well, the rear ZL1 Brakes and rotors came in yesterday and I also took advantage of the MyLink Black Friday sale -- did notice that the 'door lock' that was on my 2011 radio is NOT on the 2013 so I'll have to work though that -- but, upgrade is coming!

Packing was nice! These have only 3500 miles on them!

Can't wait for the ss lines, fluid, and front set!

So, today I ordered more parts for my Z/LE conversion.

Since I'm doing the Front bumper conversion, I needed the following brake ducts and 'splash shields':

Forward duct to the fascia:
#20952839 (L)
#20952840 (R)

Rearward parts:
#22893900 (L)
#22893901 (R)

ZL1 used specific fender liners with duct holes in them:
# 20952837 (L)
# 20952838 (R)

So, went to Huffines Chevy in Lewisville and talked to Steven (parts). Got me a fair deal including the shipping!:

Stephen and Dwayne are great to deal with. I brought in the prices I had on-line and was no problem!

One week and those will be here!

Not counting the Z/28 hat I bought while I was there ;o)

Also ordered the belly pan from Ofer (Gen5DIY) and the diffuser template....

Waiting on my ZL1 front brake kit, Motul, and SS brake lines -- that will be the next immediate mod.

Update:

Had to also order the lower radiator shroud:
Chevrolet GM OEM 12-14 Camaro 6.2L-V8 Radiator-Air Duct:

#22876562

This is different from the SS as it allows the use of the brake air ducts for the front...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/171502853902

So, the ZL1's is @ the top, and the SS is @ the bottom of this pic (from Super Chevy http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/pai...og-lights.html)

Well, the Motul and ZL1 front Brembos came in today -- WOW those things are HUGE! While I was waiting, I had the rear rotors trued up so I could bed-in the brakes.

Here are the front calipers, and my hand next to them:

Huge suckers!

Now, when the hardware, front rotors, and ss lines come in, I'll install these bad boys!

Emblem Pros are just awesome to work with. I asked them for a custom badge for my conversion project and this is what they came up with -- just awesome work!

Humm, honestly, did not see your setup yet. Saw JDPs and the one on super Chevy. Emblem came from me mixing the z/28 and 1 LE together. Sent that to emblem pros as a concept idea.

Will have to see your build thread now. Congrats for COTW!

Edit:

Yep, just saw your new build. You had it first for sure! I guess a good idea is a good idea. Mine is really combining ZL1 and 1LE parts since I liked both cars. Guess you would say this is my 'vision' of the Z/LE ;o).

Good luck with yours!
