20 bucks was too much

Went to the C5fest today with my grandfather and cousin to find out its 20 bucks a person to get in. At first I was like, wow, there must be some major things goin on in there for it to cost this much and I wasn't that upset. After walking around for about 2 hours and also watching a little drag, I thought the fest was a little lackluster. Vendors didn't have that great of deals, food was expensive, and actually not half as many people as I thought there'd be. Don't get me wrong there were some amazing cars there but overall I was disappointed in my first fest. Especially as 20 a person.

Yea! They offered but I told them in the beginning it was my treat. Even if I didn't, 20 for just me wouldve been too much for what there was. .

It's even sadder when you consider this fact..

What cost $20 in 1982 would cost $44.58 in 2010. Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2010 and 1982,
they would cost you $20 and $8.58 respectively.

I honestly wondered how big of a deal this would be and Im glad I didnt buy a R/T plane ticket plus hotel, food and rental car, I would have been pissed! But if I had lived closer such as Kentucky or Indiana then I would have probably went.

$10 per day would of been much better.....you can only watch so much drag racing in 1 day.....but at least I did get a free install of my hex vents
Steve from Hines Performance did a GREAT job of paint matching my vents!!!

I am very glad I made the right choice not to go...I was majorly considering making the 4500mile trip....I decided against it basically for the reasons OP has mentioned. I imagined it would be majorly overpriced, have nothing good being sold, and basically just be a fancy Camaro car show. I have a feeling the event is a bit over hyped on the forum here - no offence intended to those who enjoy it!!! My thoughts on all events of this sort are generally its a huge money making pot. If you live nearby go for it, but otherwise the trip out doesn't seem worthwhile.

Similar to the other guy who complained from Chicago, if you aren't. Sticking around for everything AFTER at the hotel, then you are missing the best aspect of the fest.

And $20? Seriously?
