I just had Brian at BDM build me a Cat back using Flowmaster super 40's, Magnaflow X pipe and tips. I love the sound of it. Not too loud but nice and deep and throaty. Let me know if you want to hear it on a warm day!
He did a great job. Got the mufflers tucked up nice and high. Looks and sounds great!

I picked up a Volant with the Power Core dry filter. It was $259 shipped, and I wanted to try it out. If I don't like it, I will sell it and get another.

Thin Blue Line

I am using it because I am a Police Officer. There are a few interpretation of it's meaning.

1) The Thin Blue Line is the internationally recognized phrase that symbolizes our profession. The blue line represents each of us who daily protect this nation. The black background was designed as a constant reminder of our fallen brother and sister officers.

2) The blue strip between two larger blocks of black symbolizes the police's role of separating the "good" from the "bad", or protecting society from chaos.

3) The Thin Blue Line emblem is often seen on vehicles—near the rear license plate or rear window—and implies that the operator or owner is either an active or retired Law Enforcement Officer, or the relative of one. Proponents state that the identifier is for notifying other uniformed officers that the occupant of the vehicle may be law enforcement and possibly armed.

Interesting, I had heard of the "thin blue line" before but didn't make the connection. Well done explaination! Any reason for the surge in it's use I've noticed on the forum?

It was to honor the Police officers murdered last week. There was a thread on here asking to change it to this avatar untill Tues. When they had the funeral.

Of course doesn't meam squat if I can't put down a good 60 ft time at the track.
Tom, Don't be disappointed when you don't get over 400 ponies. You won't get over 400 rwhp without Long tubes and high flow cats with the CAI. That dyno in Longmont that we all went to was about 20 hp too high. The type of dyno he had can be manipulated too easily with just a turn of the dial. Great dyno for tuning, but not good for accurate numbers. If you want accurate numbers you have to go with a Dynojet or Superflow dyno. Ask Garth what he got on the Dynojet dyno in Colo sprgs, about 20 hp less. The same as what I got compared to Longmont.

So if I go back to the same guy who did ours dyno's after the Predator is installed than it should read about 400 right...Don it's all a head game If I were earning a living racing you can bet I'd find the best most accurate dyno and company. But I'm not so why be the big downer all the time. I also disagree that the guys dyno was off by 20hp The reason being is I had mine dynoed with Dynojet and it read 379hp/370tq.Geez BlueSS70 is putting together an awsome machine,do you think I'm going to call him out on his numbers...Hell no. What you might see as friendly advice is seen by most....well I'm not going there. But if want to buy a piece of equipment that I think will help me get to 400 hp and the dyno shows me that, then let me have my fun. Like I've told you before we all don't have the cash you do to drop into our cars So give me my fun will ya!

Dyno Differences

There is some truth to the difference in dyno #s. RMCR had some sorta built in weather station that they couldn't tamper with. Boost Creep dialed his where he thought was appropriate. Mine was 20 lower in Colorado Springs. But for just doing comparable dynos to see difference with your last dyno, it's not worth the drive unless your doing a tune. For the hand held your comparable will be easy since you've done a few dynos in the area.

As for which mods to do - we're all gonna do our own research and gain different opinions, have different goals and budgets. Let's just have fun with these Camaro's and not be so serious. Time to get our heads in the clouds and keep dreamin about Camaros, springtime, mods, & club meets!!!!!!!!!!!!!
