Tires spin on the wheel

I found that tires m/t et street rs (305/45/17) are spinning about 1-2 inches per pass on my 17x10.5 dark stars. Is there a good solution to keep them from spinning or do I need a new set of bead lock wheels? I just bought these dark stars like 6 months ago.

I am currently just cammed with 3.91 gears and 3800 stall. My buddies with higher hp dont have this problem. Wondering why I do and they do not.

I’m not a drag racer, but from what I’ve seen a lot on the forums is that 16-18 is best. You’ll want to verify this first, but at least you know the likely cause.

I looked at some other fourumns saw that need to mount them dry without lube. Also file down the lip on the inside. Just not sure if this is the best way or not...

Did you put the sealer on yourself? If so where did you get it?

I bought it on amazon and took it to tire store. Told them to put it around the bead, no more slip

What is the finish on your wheels? Are they glossy powder coat? That would affect the coefficient of friction significantly.

But also, I would try running a conventional pressure, like 30 psi or higher, to see if it has any effect on your e.t. Then you can decide, objectively, whether a low psi is doing you any good in the traction department.

Everything is a tradeoff.

I know this is a little late, but I did solve my issue by grinding off the paint inside the wheel and the tire doesn't move now. Thanks for everyone's input.
