Wheel spacers needed?

So I finally got around to having the BMR 1” lowering springs put on with Koni yellow shocks & struts, as well as BMR trailing arms & toe links. When I picked it up it had a noticeable “thrum” so I took it back and the tech said the front tires are rubbing the struts. The backs are fine. Car also has BMR sway bars front & rear. I’m running 275/40-20 fronts on a 9.5” wheel and 315/35-20 on a 11” rear. He suggested a 5mm spacer for the fronts so I ordered a set from Modern Gen Auto.

Has anyone else had to use spacers? I don’t recall seeing that when I researched this suspension and tire/wheel combo. Also will I have any lug nut issues now? I have the black Gorilla brand locking lugs. Thanks.

5mm spacers aren't big enough to cause an issue with your lugs, but I wouldn't go any bigger than that. I am running 5mm spacers all around right now with no issues.

Awesome. Thank you for the reply. I’m hoping it doesn’t cause a rub issue turning the front wheels which are fine now. It looks like it’ll be fine.
