Nobody wants to be walking around the tarmac for 2-3 days in 100+ degree heat. Of course, it would depend on the location, but having lived in San Antonio for a couple of years, I think a summer date would be miserable.

FEST II was supposed to be 75 - 85. It turned out to be much warmer.
This year it is going to be just as warm as last year.
I have booked tracks looking for mild weather and have yet to find it. It is always too hot or too cold. Weather is like a race car. When you show up to run, you run what you brought.

Preachin' to the choir, brother. But, you have to admit, chances are it's going to be a lot hotter in the middle of summer in Texas than it might be in the spring or fall.
