Just came back from dealer, the exhaust was hitting and needed to be adjusted. The tech and I took it out after he worked on it and the noise was gone. Hopefully it doesnt come back.

What part of the exhaust was hitting??? and what was it hitting on ???? Think that'll help out other C5 members.

The tech said it was in the back and after he adjusted the hangers it stopped. It was doing it before I put the axle back on just not as noticable. It was reverberating throughout the whole system. I was hoping he would have shown me where and what they did but it was really busy there. As long as it doesn't come back im happy. He said if it does just bring it back.

The only problem I have with getting headers is I don't want to get a tune for warranty issues and I hear your undoubtedly going to get a check engine light if you put in headers I'm also hearing some rattling just had the exhaust done 2 days ago and yesterday was the first day I drove it and it's pretty noticeable. called my dealership and I'm taking the car in Monday |

Honestly....I had bascically the 2.5" comp cat-back for a while. At first it seemed loud enough but eventually I though was a little on the quiet side unless you were WOT.
I've since changed to the headers with the 3" Comp which has the street mufflers on it. Still I wouldn't mind it a little louder but I'm good with it as it is. One thing you might look at is adding some Hf Cats. Ones like JBA or SOLO have. Should give you good power, more sound, no tuning, and no Check Engine Light. Do a search on them. Not as good as LT headers but will probably be a good option for your situation.

I installed the Magnaflow cat-back system (16580) about 3 weeks ago. It's not as loud as I expected at idle, but it sounds a lot better than the factory setup. When you get on it, WOW!!!!!!!! Also, it's almost 50 lbs lighter due to removing the old mufflers.

A bunch of friends told me to remove the resonators from the X-Pipe? Might be too loud then? Dealership said to get SLP headers and they wouldnt void warranty. When I told them I was sure to get an engine light they said that shouldn't happen. But I know it will! JCobra any updates? I'm taking mine in Monday for the rattling |
