They are worth it if you are trying to maintain your warranty. If you do not care about your warranty and you will be tuning, just go long-tubes.
If you need to stick with shortys then they would be what i would recommend to you.

No problem, 18-RWHP and over 30 on the torque.

autoanything.com had them for less than $500 w/ free shipping. (Was an email for 15% off)

So if you are looking for good gains for 1/3 the price of any decent long tubes while maintaining your warranty, and not having to immediately tune your car (though tuning will see greater gains).

I sold two sets of Doug Thorley shortys so far...and both customers were actually very happy with the performance increase.

They were both a long distance type of sale, so I have not had the chance to test a car with them installed....Sorry I cannot provide any better 1st hand info, But I would be happy to hook you up with my customer here on Camaro5, I am sure he would be happy to tell you how he feels about the shortys 1st hand.

If possible could you PM me your price on the DT shorties ZZCamaro? Autoanything.com has had some very tempting prices but if there is better out there I have no problem switching over!

I liked my DT shorties when they were on. They provided a bit more power and a deeper tone to the exhaust. No tune was needed and they never kicked out a code or CEL. Once the Supercharger went on and I had to have a tune I went with long tubes. I still have the shorties if any one is interested, they had 1500 miles on them if that.

I went with the shorties based on the look and the dynos I saw on the site, even a small increase is good. I didn't want to deal with getting long tubes, dealing with reasons for changing out brand new cats for no federally good reason. Between the CAI, the shorties and the SLP1's to get air into and out of that LS3, definitely picked up some good gains. Next a tune and all done with the car power pickups. Wouldn't mind supercharging it but the car is intimidating as it is, can't imagine 550 or more under the hood and trying to keep street tires in one piece.

I see Borla recently came out with their own shorties. Anyone hear anything about them?
