how to completely eliminate rear deck rattle?

i did the screw mod, even added extra screws, added a sub to handle the low end instead of the decklid speakers, and no matter what i do, i'm getting rattling. i'm a windows-down, loud music kinda guy, and this incessant rattling just makes listening to remotely bassy music not enjoyable. what is a sure-fire way(s) to get rid of this rattling for good? dynamat, foam, let's hear them.

p.s. "lower the bass" is not the answer i'm looking for, i bought a subwoofer for a reason

Fatmat, dynamat, hushmat, any premium car sound deadener should do it, be sure to locate where the rattles are coming from

Dynamat is your best bet. Just buy the bulk pack from amazon and it should fix your rattle problem. It did for me... at least in the trunk and rear deck...

the deck is the only place that i'm hearing rattle from. i was kinda hoping that there would be an easier way to eliminate this since (from what ive read) the only way to get that decklid off for matting is to remove the rear seats and a bunch of other stuff

Try this. I did this myself with some Hushmat and I have no rattle from the rear deck.

No need to dismantle anything. Just gain access to the trunk through the backseat and apply the material on the underside of the rear deck.
