Had a loud lifter tick, turned out to be a bad plug. Easy fix.

Mine was just a loose plug wire. Pushed it tighter onto the plug and noise was gone.

Always feels good when you think you're looking at tearing into the motor then it's not so bad. An old Master mechanic buddy called it guts and feathers. Always rather it be feathers.
