I have a 6 month old Boxer/Pit mix. He loves going for rides in my Camaro. I have a convertible so there's plenty of room, but I have leather seats I don't want his nails poking any holes in them. What do you guys use to protect you seats?

I've never had my huskies in my Camaro, but in the G8 I used this:

The only tricky part was keeping them from getting underneath it. Somehow they always outsmarted it.

Thanks, I have one of those for my DD. The problem I have is the Camaro doesn't have rear head rests to strap it in.

i just unhook my backseat, place a blanket in, and shut it. keeps the whole seat covered.

I bought a seat cover and do what the above mentioned, release seat back and close it on the cover. Its pretty good quality, I wish I could remember where I got it from.

Why my dog doesn't ride in my camaro. If take a dedicated blanket and fabricate some holes to utilize the seat belts and tuck into the sides.

My gma made me some color matching covers back in the day with a hood that went over the head rest and buckled down from behind. Wish I was that creative

I think you are trying to find a solution for a non existent problem. I've hauled dogs for over 35 years in new vehicles with both cloth and leather. Never, ever had an issue and I wasn't real regular in getting their nails trimmed. Now, keeping the backseat cleaner (dirt, hair, etc), that's a different issu.

Good luck in your search. For me Dog+Camaro=NEVER going to happen. As for my wife's car (don't care as much about my truck), I use a cover I found at TJMaxx or Home Goods a while back. It seems similar to the one mentioned above. Hope you find a solution!

Thanks guys. I actually found a way to use my dog sling I use in my DD. It's not the best but I clip the rear headrest straps around the seat belts on each side. It sags a little but it's working. I'll try to get a pic of Dozer enjoying his ride.
