That's the ONLY option I wouldn't have is a sunroof. I wanted an Auto and settled for a Manual, but I would never settle for a sunroof. JMHO
Take the car and enjoy the extra headroom and reverse Mohawk. |

Re order and get some consideration for the SNAFU.

It is nice to have the extra room for a helmet. But if you are someone who would use a sunroof, you will miss it. I love mine and use it often. I rarely put on the AC.
I also heard the Recaros can seat you lower than the standard Camaro Seats, so the sunroof would be less of a problem if true. If it were me, and I planned on keeping the car, I would reorder.

I traded my 84 Z28 for a Saturn in the 90s. The dealer cut $500 off my trade in on the the day I was to pick up my Saturn. I asked for the Saturn refund and they refused. I walked. They called my house (before cell phones) and offered me $500 in dealer installed options. I took it. I was an idiot. I always wanted what was promised. I never bought from that dealer owner group again and never will. The car after the Saturn (jeep grand cherokee) I ended up driving 30 miles away to get in order to avoid this douche bag dealer.
Don't settle.

I really like the sunroof and I do track the car (I knew what I was getting myself into. Also I am not that tall). I just love how it makes the inside of the car so much brighter (even when not open) I would reorder

This is my struggle.... I'm waiting to see what they come back with..... I'm only 5'9" and with the Recaro's I don't think I will have an issue with a helmet....... just hate that I may have to wait another 5+ weeks......

You are I are about the same height. Just went and checked fit. With my Recaros all the way down and my helmet on there is a little bit of room above my head. A little bit, not much but I can move around normally.

I would reorder and ask the dealer for some compensation via free accessories for the inconvenience they caused you. Done in a nice a professional manner, they may agree. Get the car exactly how you originally wanted, in the long run it will be worth the additional wait.

5 weeks is a long time to wait when you want the car but every time you drive it you will wish it had a sun roof and that will be for the next 5 years minimum, (a lot longer than 5 weeks).

I get the height issue with the sunroof, which is why I did not get one, but can you have a car at the track on anything but fun days with glass in the roof? I would have thought that was a no-no for safety reasons.

OP. I'd reorder and get sunroof. I open it as soon as I get in the car. I'm 6' 1" and have no issues with headroom. I actually like the fact that it is a few inches shorter.
