No traitor but drove a Challenger today
I had some time on my hands today waiting to pick up the Rx my MD called in to the drug store. I have been wanting to drive a Challenger since it was about the only thing I didn't test drive before I bought my Camaro. I drove the 6 cylinder as I wanted to compare apples to apples. I must say if I had driven it before I would have had to think about it some. I don't know if they changed anything in the '11s but the interior was nice. It actually has functional sun visors, was comfortable & I liked the look of it. It did not seem to me to have quite the get-up-and-go of my Ruby but I didn't get on it too hard. I got a bit of a smile, but not quite permagrin. The sticker price for the '11 was about what I ended up paying for my Ruby. It pretty much had the options I would have wanted. No remote start - I'd definately miss that, but those can be added aftermarket. I got on-line once I got home & found it does not have as much HP as Ruby. In the end I'm still happier with Ruby. And now I know, no more wondering (not that I really had any doubt). But it was a fun way to kill some time.

I do like the Nav system that is available for the Chargers.

The 2011 v6 challenger has a completely new engine compared the previous years. The new engine (penstar?) is rated at appr. 300hp compared to 250hp in the earlier years. IMHO the new v6 challenger is completely different car than before. Co-worker just bought the r/t (actually drove him to the dealership 2hrs away), and think it is quite a nice car.

My husband & I own a 2010 R/T Classic Challenger. It's very spacious and rides so nice. He tried to get me to look at the V6 Chally's before I got my Camaro but I wasn't having that.

I was configuring these over the week on the Dodge website. There's really nothing that strikes me about their interior. I couldn't believe that every model had only one color selection for an interior.
I did like that summer tires were options versus requirements for the RT and SRT. |
