i strongly suggest everyone get uninsured on their policy it isn't but like a couple bucks a month. there is more and more idiots on the road without insurance and hit and runs.

put a judgement against him so you can get your money back.i have no sympathy for people that drive without insurance.if you put a judgement against him , he could also lose his license.

You're going to be disappointed the first time some uninsured idiot hits you. I know I was. Uninsured motorist only covers bodily injury, not property damage. The first time I was hit by an uninsured idiot I thought the same thing you do. I was also real disappointed that the insurance company made no effort at all to recover my deductible from the woman that hit me. They couldn't have cared less. It happened to me twice in a year, and I have no trouble at all understanding the OP's reaction of wanting to at least scare the crap out of the guy.

Because it sounds like total carelessness. Fear will cause you NOT to do it again. And the fact that he has no insurance makes it worse. I would put out a claim to garnish his wages for the deductible.

I'm not a violent person, but what sucks here is the type of person with no insurance who doesnt pay attention probably knows they can get away without respecting other peoples property and they probably do it quite often without any consequences. It is easy to understand a little rage and I agree that "accident" isn't a good description here.

Post some pictures so we can all cry with you. That happen to me one time in a parking lot and I had to pay. The only good thing was it was in my wife's van and not my Camaro.
