Had a great New Year's. Thanx. Boyfriend saw 'my' car yesterday on his way to work. Says it looks sharp. Hate living around here right now with all the pre-production ones driving around (I work by the Tech Center).

Sorry for interrupting the order status thread. As you remember I got my 2LT early in November. One of my dealer options was the GM chrome air intake. When I picked up my Camaro on November 8th, my dealer said these have been back ordered for 6 months and would take another month.

Well, I called my dealer yesterday, and they are saying these aren't being produced because of an engineering issue. Can you shed any light on this? Maybe this will be a future trivia question..... What 2011 option was never installed?

You know, maybe I missed it, but I don't recall ever seeing a chrome air intake for the Camaro. They were going to do a Cold Air Intake early on
on 2010, but that never materialized. I'll have to do a little more research with my parts dept to see if she knows of anything like that. I'll get back to you and let you know.

Thanks, that's the one I remember seeing, but my
understanding is that was a Cold Air system, not just
a cover and it was never validated in engineering. So
the 6 mos backorder is

. If you were charged for
it I'd look for your money back and look elsewhere for
another system.

You could add the Hurst shifter "accessory" to your
trivia question too, although they keep saying it's
coming
