I have the same exact noise and vibration in e-brake. What the heck makes the driveshaft make a clicking noise I wonder.

Make sure there are no stickers hanging off the driveshaft. Sometimes a label can be hanging half off and flapping. Then there are a couple other bulletins, one for the driveshaft and another for axle washers for a clicking noise.

I have it too... I noticed the other day that it may be the window. It actually got a little warm out and I rolled the windows down. I'm so used to hearing it around 2500 - 3000 RPM and I was shocked.

I rolled up the window at the next red light. I took off like normal when green and there it was again.

I had the same noise, it ended up being a broken baffle in the muffler, it was under warranty but they said they had no idea how long it would take to get, so I decided to put the CAT backs on instead and after a month I finally got my warranty part.

Cool Followup on ticking noise

April 1 the car came out of storage and the ticking/clicking/flapping noise is still there. The best association I can describe is the noise is definately rotationally or speed related. I only hear it at under 30mph and normally only in forward gears 1 and 2. (manual shifter) I can sometimes hear it in reverse. It is not very loud, but just enough that it is annoying.

I do not believe the noise I am hearing is coming from the e brake.

I did notice on a rainy day the noise seemed to disappear and came back once dry again.

Someone mentioned and axle washer and while I am not a mechanic, that sounds like something that would be causing that noise from the location I seem to be hearing it. (right front wheel).

So if anyone can add to the likely source of cause of the problem, it would be much appreciated. I do plan to get it to the dealer, I just haven't had a chance yet. To the extent I can narrow it down, I think that would be helpful. But a good mechanic should be able to isolate it upon hearing it I would think.

Mine had the same ticking noise. It started yesterday I noticed it most when slowing down to a stop. I started hearing it at about 30 and as the car slowed so did the clicking. So I decided to crawl under there today to check it out. I found the culprit a loose bolt on the driveshaft right behind the transmission I removed all the nuts applied some loctite and retightened it’s as good as new no more clicking! So check those driveshaft bolts!
