Best short throw shifter

I am currently looking at short throws and was wondering what everyone has and best price and quality wise... So far I'm leaning towards the slp

I was in at $319 with the Hurst, it's a nice unit, but it does have some rattle. Overall, it's like night and day over the stock POS.

Hurst. But this is more of a personal preference thing than which is "the best."

I love my Hurst, I have had it in for over a year with no issues or rattle.

I love my LSR. Night and day difference from stock. 33% reduction in throw and lowered the handle. Kept the stock knob. Excellent product.

Don't mean to thread jack, but I've been strongly considiring one as well. That said, i cant differentiate between the SS or the V6. Is there a difference? Different designs from a host of manufacturers and they all look the same and don't say for which model they are for.

SS has reverse gear gated to far right and the LT has it gates to far left and up.

I knew that, but by the design of the shifter replacement, it appears that each could work for either. All they are is a smaller rod with, what appears to be, the same size bushing and housing at the base. Is there a difference for each model?

If you're looking for a s.shifter for the V-8: Hurst aftermarket
For the V-6: factory Hurst.

The Tremec is a better trans and can handle the 43% reduction in throw.
Factory Hurst has less reduction and would be better suited to the clunky AY6, IMHO.

I have Barton and no rattle or noise. Dramatic difference in shifts. But they all do the same. I picked the Barton, because of the road noise and rattle from the linkage I seen Hurst had for many.
