Painting the plastic below bumper cover

Has anyone painted the plastic piece below the rear bumper cover? Its the part that has the holes where the exhaust tips come out. My black 2SS looks great, but the plastic piece I think would look better if it had a gloss to it. Thoughts?

I'm with ya, I am still waiting on delivery of my Camaro but I have already made an appointment with a painter to paint this piece and my stripes before I take delivery.

My Car will be IOM.

Yes it can be painted, if done preperly. The biggest thing is the prep-work on the plastic. Whether its ABS + or - or whatever coding on the belly of the piece, you need to purchase the correct adhesive promoter for that specific code of plastic. If you don't prep it properly, your paint will not stick AT ALL!!!

Take it to your local body shop, they know whats up!

I would like to put my two cents in on the painted diffuser, Roger at EmblemPros is great, I just got my Hydrocoated OEM diffuser back from them this week. It is top quality work, and looks just like the sample at Emblempros.com I couldn't justify spending $600-$1000 for an aftermarket Carbon Fiber diffuser hoping it would and making it fit and then still having the OEM lay around. Now I have an eyecatching carbon fiber look and I am not out the big dollar. I will post pics after I get the camera out and not a minute before.
