Hello from Acton, MA

Picked up a HBM 1LE two weeks ago. Drove to Langhorne PA from the Boston Area to get it. Before I drove off the lot I covered the front end in blue painters tape. Talk about OCD. Now I have XPEL on it. 1LE's are hard to find up here in the Northeast so I rented a car, crashed in a cheap motel and drove it back the next day.

When I was 19 I had a '70 Camaro. Base 307. Nothing super special.

I Plan on putting a GM CAI on the 1LE. Anyone know if GM will do the mapping/tuning for free if I install it myself? How about the drag air cleaner? Thanks!

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome to the Forum! Beautiful color that really catches the eye. Like you I traveled for my Camaro. Flew to Dayton Ohio from New Bern NC. Return trip took about 4 days as I had fun visiting a friend, touring and just loving the car. Look forward future discussions.

The Re-MAP tune for the GM CAI is supposed to be done at the dealership installing the CAI 95% of dealerships don't know this or will not even do it because they unfortunately have idiots working the service area and technicians who aren't allowed to research what they sell.

Welcome to the family and if you need to meet a few people if you do shows, cars and coffee or racing several people on here do those gatherings in the new England area. I do drag racing at New England Dragway a ton along with a few others driven2excess does a lot of road courses and drag racing, whiskeyfed will likely be an autox junky in a few weeks and Red Devil's Rebel does car shows and cruise meetings along with the rest mentioned.
