Time trial difference of .10

Hey all. I have a question to get your opinions. If for example you were to run a 12.60 then a 12.70 during time trials, what would you dial in at for your first elimination run (assuming nothing really stood out as a negative during your time trial runs, everything seemed normal) This has happened to me more than once and I chose the higher or lower and things backfired and I lost. After pounding my head on the desk over this, my thought was to split them at 12.65. If I'm ahead, I could at least let up, if I'm behind I guess I would hope that he breaks out or red-lighted or had a bad reaction time

I'd go for 12.70 and tap the brakes if need be

Yep, I'm thinking that also, I have to be careful though, the dragstrip I race at will disqualify you for excessive braking
