I finally saw my first 18 GT today. I was exiting the highway and saw it pass on my left so didn't catch a view at the front end. Magnetic PP with active exhaust. It looked GREAT with the tail lights and quad tips That new spoiler though
Ford doesn't care about the GT prowess on the track, in their book that's what the GT350 is for. If you've read about the PP2 option, it was developed by the engineers behind close doors, almost as a side project, and then brought to the bosses. No C-level executive actually said 'let's build a 1LE fighter', or at least that's what the story leads you to believe.

As far as active exhaust and quad tips, they are not exclusive like the Camaro. All GTs come with quad tips. The one I drove was base with PP, no active exhaust, and still had quad tips. Sounded great btw.

The base GT maybe, but they have spent way to much $$$ improving the PP1 and now green lighting PP2 to say they dont care. They have to care because the competition clearly does.

And the A10 trans! Looks like Ford isn't playing around, lol!! But again, it will have been 4 MYs by the time this comes out that Ford hasn't been competitive. So while it might have some jumping for joy I still say that this is something that should have been done some time ago.

As far as numbers go. If it does have 750 with the A10 then I'm thinking we'll see high 10 sec quarter mile times. That is they don't throw a shitty tire on it...FORD. And I'm thinking it'll be faster than everything except for the Demon, ZR1, and cars like the GTR, R8, etc. But I bet the price will be north of $75K. Maybe into the $80K range. And it won't have a sunroof option and probably not as many options as the ZL1 and HC/Demon. I hope it is more like $70K or less because then it would be hard to turn down. You guys might actually see me trading in the ZL1 and heading over to M6G, lol!! And then I'll swing back over here starting shit and trolling you guys!!

IF, it actually comes with those Carbon Ceramic brakes, it will absolutely be a base $75k easily.... those things are not cheap...

Expect it to option out to around the same costs as the ZL1.

ADM will be a bitch for the first 6 months or so. Smart peeps will wait until it can be had at sticker...or below.

15,16,17,18, and my guess GT500 would be a 2019.

Precisely.

This car will not be competing with the ZL1 in terms of price, it will be competing with the Demon in terms of price. It will be a 75-80k car all day for at LEAST the first model year. That's without ADM..

Carbon ceramics on average add roughly 12-20k additional cost per vehicle. It's why the current ZL1 doesn't have them...and why only the Z06/Grand Sport/ZR1 have them.

The bad news: with those numbers, the GT500 will certainly beat a ZL1 in a straight line.

The good news: with those numbers, the LT5 will certainly now be in the Camaro’s future.
