Sounds to me like a ground problem on your parking brake sensor.
On my Kenwood I grounded the green wire along with the black ground wire.
The brown wire is for mute when you have a call coming in on Bluetooth on mine.
Don't remember seeing a pink wire on mine.
Maybe go on Pioneer website and ask around.
I know on some units in order to watch DVD's the unit has to see a signal.

Hope this helped some.

Where did you mount the GPS antenna? Any pics? Being its been awhile since your install, have they come out with a way to show song titles on the HUD? Ever resolve the steering wheel controls issue?

Hallo,

I have changed my oem radio from GM with scosche and Kenwood DNX9210BT. Now I have a two problems.
The first, my air conditioning brings hot air, when the stripes for temperature in the middle. When i'm switching to the blue stripes maximum the air conditioning brings only a little bit cold air out of the air conditioning.
The second problem is, the switches for power lock and power unlock are not working.
How can I reset the scosche kit. I open the door, seat place, close the drivers door, disconnect the two connector from scosche and then i´m waiting for 10 minutes. Then connect the two connectors to scosche and nothing has changed. My question, when i'm sitting in the car, have i to shut the doors with the remote the key and then wait. Whats wrong with my doing.
Sorry for bad english language, i'm from germany. Thank you so much for help.

Best regards from germany

I could not understand what you was meaning by this

"My question, when i'm sitting in the car, have i to shut the doors with the remote the key and then wait. Whats wrong with my doing."

Basically you are doing it right.

With the windows closed and the key removed form the ignition disconnect the 2 plugs from the scoche unit. Wait 10 minutes and reconnect the 2 plugs starting with small one first.

Hallo,

the procedure took no effect. The Switches for power lock and power unlock still not working. In the car Settings i have no Option for Climate and Air Quality or is this Option only displayed for an automatic Transmission car? My has manuel transmission. What is wrong with the kit. It should be a AB-kit with the latest Software.

Best regards

I just installed the Scosche kit with JVC KWKW-V50BT. No drama.

Here is my thread on it.

Thanks I really need to get this up and running.
The yellow/black gets wired to the brown, this is the MUTE if your equipment has it. The pink is the VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR(VSS) for use with NAV also is optional. I don't have NAV so I did not use it.
Hope this helps.

1. You do not need to connect the blue/white wire for the Remote AMP if you have a factory AMP. I contacted Scosche to confirm this.
2. You do not need any additional controls for the steering wheel controls to work. The Schosche kit takes care of converting the signal from the swc to the radio. For the pioneer just plug the 3.5" male connector from the scosche wire harness to the pioneer radio.
3. If your steering wheel controls (SWC) do not work, get in the car, disconnect the two connectors from the scosche gm5201b, close the doors, turn off the car, remove the key and let the car sit for 7-10 minutes. Make sure you dont open the door or activate anything while sitting there (Bring you phone and play games on it while you wait.). After this, plug in the larger plug first and then the smaller. Start the car. I had an issue with my controls and this fixed the issue. Also make sure you select pioneer in the setting on the scosche touch screen.
4. If you want Onstar to continue to work, purchase the Onstar module from scosche. This will plug into their wire harness and allow you to use the Steering wheel control to activate onstar.
5. When installing the scosche kit, i found it went in easier if i removed the screws that are located on eaither side of the console just under the dash. to get to these screws you must remove the side panels on the center console. one screw is on each side of the console. The scosche kit is a very tight fit, but it will slide in. make sure you dont just push on the front of it. If you do you will probably break the rear piece off or atleast crack where it is welded together. This is a plastic weld. instead make sure as you try to slide the scosche kit in you try to support the bottom peice. I have installed mine a couple of time and the second time was much easier than the first, because the first time i was like there is no way this thing is going to fit, but it did.
6. The gauge cluser will be tight when it goes back in as well. Some people say you need to remove the cigrette light to get it to slide back in, i didnt need to remove anything, just slide it over the gear shifter, and push it back into place. My car is a 6 speed, so i just put the car in 4th and had no problems with reinstalling the cluster
7. You can not use the usb adapter in the center console with this head unit, you can however get the CD-IU51V which is the iphone/ipod cable. it is long enough to rub back to the location where the orgional usb connector was.

IF you have any questions about setting up the pioneer z140bh and the scosche kit, let me know. I will be glad to let you know anything i have found out. So far i like the look of the kit and how it functions.

Items used:
Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH 2DIN 7" Touchscreen In-Dash Navigation AV Receiver
Scosche GM5201B 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Installation Kit
Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM Digital Satellite Tuner
ND-BC5 PIONEER Universal Rear-View Camera
Pioneer CD-IU51V AV iPod/iPhone Cable for Pioneer AV and Navigation models
Scosche VWA3B 1997-Up Audi, BMW, VW Antenna Adaptor
2010 Up Chevrolet Camaro Onstar Interface Module (Cancelled Onstar, so i removed this and just used the jumper plug that came with the Scosche kit)

Correction... YOU CAN use the USB in the center console.. I am using it right now.. All you need to do is pull the back of the center console off, unplug the cable attached to the stock USB input (Its just a MINI USB).. After that, all I did was run a MINI USB to USB cable.. USB into the deck, and the MINI USB part into where you unplugged it from the stock USB.. and BAM... Working great..

Hallo, @Caddyroger,

now i have found the mistake of my Installation. I had connected the rca-outputs of my kenwood dnx9210bt to the wires for the loudspeakers at scosche wires. Then i have the TPMS failure. I couldn't teach the TPMS sensors at this Installation. After a few minutes came the yellow Icon for failure the TPMS in the speedometer. Today i have as test connected the highlevel-outputs to the scosche wires for loudspeakers. Now all works perfect. No issue, all works fine. But i don't understand. I have a Boston Acustic amp (factory) and i have learned, the amp needs low Level inputs. Now, with highlevel Outputs connected to scosche, all works perfect.
I have this result posted to scosche support.

Greets from Germany

OK guys need some help. 2 issues. Hopefully fixing one fixes the other. Door lock and unlock buttons don't work. How do I fix that? And then starting car with open door or undone seat belt is infinite chime. How do I fix that? Kit has been fully updated.
