good tires for NJ daily

From what i'm reading, the General GMAX AS-03's are a good buy for me. the stock pirellis lasted about 8k in the rear and are now balding, so they need replacing. my fronts still look good for now, so i can worry about those in the fall. These are my circumstances:

-I live in northern NJ
-daily drive a 50/50 mix of highway and city
-have a little fun every now and then
-don't track my car
-want something that will at least last longer than the pirellis, aiming for 20k+ preferably
-have a loud exhaust, so tire noise isn't something that will necessarily annoy me

Anyone have experience with these? anyone think i should invest in different tires? I'm aiming for all-season tires so please, no summer tire recommendations. Thanks!

I have almost 20K on my stock Pirellis . they are really good tires but I'd like to try new ones too when they are gone.
I also live in NJ can you tell me where did you get your ZL1 type bumper and how is the clearance ?
Thanks and good luck bud!

last owner installed it, along with lowering the car 1.5 inches so i couldnt tell you in terms of stock ride height, but currently its pretty low, i'd say about 3-4 inches from ground being generous.

my pirelli's didnt last at all. im sure me having fun with the car didnt help but even the treadwear rating on them is eh.

I got about 40,000 miles on Continental Extreme Contact DWS, and I'm running the General GMax's now, but I only have about 10,000 miles on them so far. Daily driver in Pittburgh, Pa, so similar conditions. I think either one would do well for you.

Im running the DWS too and had them through this winter here with no problems getting stuck at all. I highly recommend them.

I have almost 40K on my P-Zeros. Way more than most people get out of summer tires. But mostly I have highway miles.

So tire wear depends on how you drive.

If you don't care about summer tire traction, you could get all season tires for longer life.

I'm more than likely going with all seasons just because it's not going to be a summer car and then a garage queen the rest of the year (as much as I wish it were)

if you're not worried about ultra performance, consider Nitto Motivo's. They are made in USA and a 60k mile tire. I have them on my 7 with 20's... only 5k miles so far but they ride great and have good reviews. But not sure if they are so great in snow... for snow I'd probably go with the Contis.
