who said oops?

okay. let's see who is man (or woman) enought to admit a mistake. let's hear about mods you made that you now wish you never even thought about.

complete this sentence: "If I had it to do over again . . . ."

"If I had it to do over again . . . ."

I would have done more research and got a 1SS for MSRP locally in Dallas, instead of an 1LT across the state in El Paso.

I would have got the GFX, the extra cost would not have changed monthly payment very much, but to buy now from dealer is quite expensive out of pocket.

I might have got a sunroof. I would not have got 4.10 gears that lasted a month.

I might've waited for the 2012's (and possibly the 45th Anniv) instead of buying a late 2011 (not that I've had any problems with it).

...I would have gotten the LS3.

I rushed because there were all those reports that IBM was going to be defunct in 2012 and it was the color scheme I wanted +2011 discount but it was a L99... I figured the tap shift would "cure" my need to shift. Nope. There is nothing like rowing through the gears...

If I had it to do over again, would not have painted my engine cover badly .....
I bought a fresh one to replace it!

If I had to do a mod over again I would have properly secured my pop-up license plate the first time.

I have the plate mounted on the upper part of my lower grille and I used the two expansion plugs in the kit to secure the plate. I thought it was a little weak but dismissed that thought because the manufacturer would've provided extra hardware if needed.

After visiting my parents for Christmas (a 600 mile round trip weekend) I come home to my garage and notice my plate dangling by one screw, the other came of sometime during my road trip.

So I purchase a new set of expansion plugs and use Gorilla Glue to hold them in place. 7 months later, I visit my parents again for 4th of July and the plate comes off again!

So, I installed an L-bracket to hold it upright, Gorilla Glue for the expansion plugs, and Red Loctite for the screws that go into the expansion plugs. It has been working flawlessly since July 2010.

So if you are considering the pop up plate, secure like this and save yourself the embarassing drama. Or move to a state that doesn't require a front plate

I would have bought the ACS T3 splitter to start with instead of the Stillen
