I know the camaro can put down some big numbers in hp. But will the camaro ever be able to compete with the corvette on circuit tracks? Wut mods wud u need? I guess wut I'm saying is I bought the camaro for its style. Now how can I make it run with the vette?

Yes anything can be made fast. You can look in another section of this website and see a Scion smoking a Z06 on a track.

But the Camaro will not step lightly on the toes of the Corvette from the factory.

Drop a bunch of weight, beef up the suspension and you might be able to play around with an ls3 vette

They are two different performance classes, its a four seater sports car versus, a two seater supercar.... and I believe it is starting to be classified that way...... correct me if I am wrong

I wouldn't call a base vette a supercar.

To me I classify a 5th gen vs a c6 vette a muscle/pony car vs a sports car.

I was assuming higher trim levels, as no one would compare the LTcamaro to the base Vette.....

But for the price, the Vettes are on par with performance of the exotics......

Trade it in and $35K more will get the Vett. But beyond that, no. Enjoy what you have not what you want.

I built my Mustang to beat Camaros, Corvettes are in a different league from us. I could build a Mustang to beat a Corvette, but it would be horribly expensive. Camaros are a four passenger coupe, they are not meant to compete with the Corvette. Go out and b****slap a Mustang or a Ricer, stay away from the big dogs.
