I am currently doing a new build on my car and it will be a 1200-1300 rwhp and the manual will not hold up. I love the manual and if it wasnt for me wanting extreme power I would never want an automatic as nothing is more fun than banging thru the gears sideways. For really high horsepower cars that are more dedicated to the track, the auto is the only option. I am now doing the 4L80E swap and going with a 9" center section. No one will ever win the battle of auto vs manual because like every other part you put on your car is for YOU to enjoy and what YOU choose. As long as you are happy, who cares what everyone else thinks. Auto or manual these are awesome cars.

Ok.

So here are some facts I need to consider.

Auto tranny.

The L99 has more horse power.
Is a lot lighter.
Comes with much better tires on it.
Sits lower to the ground.
Cost less.
Has stiffer suspension.

Manual tranny.

Cost more.
LS3 has less power.
Soft and loose suspension parts.
Heavier curb weight.
Hard rubber tires that spin too much.

What did I forget?

You forgot that the cup-holders don't bother the L99 owners as much as the LS3 owners.

I'm sorry but just my opinion no offence to the auto guys but, my philosophy is if your gonna have a sports car it has to be a manual im sorry but, sports car and auto shouldnt even go together. Just my opinion but your gonna get what you want and thats all that matters if you like it enjoy it.
