Garage Shelving, what are people using?
I put some of the cheap metal Home Depot style shelves in my home garage but am looking for some ideas on something sturdier. Before I waste time and money again, what are other people using that they are happy with? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks, Chase |

I went to Mr. Seconds and bought The kitchen base cabinet that the sink would be set in. It has to draws and 4 narrow doors. Plus 2 wide cabinets with 1 narrow cabinet. Put together they are 10 feet so I got a counter top for them. Then bought 4 small over head cabinets. They were in excellent condition but not finished. Total cost for every thing was under $500. I built a platform 8 inches off the floor. I could afford a lot better ones. But I have never been one to need high quality for a lot of things. I just spent the difference in money for more tools and a lot better ones.

On this topic, I have a crazy small garage in my new house. It's a "2-car" garage with 1 door, but my cars are pretty much on top of each other.
Any ideas for small space storage? I'm going to build a second garage for the 68 that will have plenty of space around that car and a lift, but for now, I need to keep tools and shed objects in this small garage.
