My dilemma...

With some Christmas money saved up and once I get my tax return, I'll have a pretty healthy amount of cash to put into the car for mods. I'll probably have between 1500$-2000$ to spend, which is pretty decent. Now I face a hard dilemma on what to get. I have narrowed it down to two options: the first being a new hood, specifically the MPD-Z force ram air and option number two being getting the car lowered (already have the springs) along with an SS bumper and a Z28 "style" splitter from RPI designs. Now the hood is about 1100$ US which is about 1450$ Canadian with the poor exchange rate and then a paint job on top with would probably put me in or close to my allowance, and my second option is about 500$ to get the springs installed (quoted to me by my shop), 350$ US for the splitter which is about 420$ ish, and I'm not too sure how much used SS stock bumpers sell for now a days but I'm sure it wouldn't be that costly, let's say 500$, so that option puts me at about 1420$ so let's call it 1500$ even. I've wanted the hood ever since i first saw it, but I also want the ride lowered and my current bumper does have a little damage which bothers the hell out of me. I really don't know which one to go with! Sorry about this being so long, but I thought I'd like to give you guys all the details I could and see if I could get some opinions!

That's your money , do what makes you happy
But if I was in your shoes , and reading in between the lines , you would just take a portion of it , and go for a trip with your GF , you will be amazed what one can do with half of it , and you will be happy too !

Not a bad idea! But currently a bachelor and no one to spend the money on but myself at the moment! Maybe when the time comes, if I do have a special lady, I'd set some money aside for the to of us, I'll definitely keep that suggestion in mind!

Save half and use the other half for mods is probably what I would do. Never know when you'll need a nice bit of money to fall back onto in the event of a problem with the car.

Need is definitely a strong word. I'm only 22, so still trying to enjoy my youth as much as possible!

Tell you one thing, I wouldn't pay $500 to get Springs install. It's so easy to do yourself. That's $500 for another mod.

Is it really? I mean, I've got no hoist or really any knowledge about installing anything like that. I may try and find a cheaper source if its really not that bad of a job.

22? My dad was already married and had me by the time he was 21. I know what you mean though.

You just have to find a nice girl who doesn't want to have kids, is not selfish and narcisistic, likes cars, won't play drama games and will always treat you right at all costs.

Yeah I know, an impossible feat these days, but a guy can dream, can't he? lol!
