I just purchased my 5th Gen Camaro!!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I purchased my 5th Gen this past Saturday at Jon Hall Chevy in Daytona Beach, FL. It is a Silver 2012 2LS Camaro. I chose the automatic option because I have driven manual before but never a car with tap shifting (should be interesting). I know this is only a V6 but wow!!! Very nice car, fast, powerful, beautiful I still can’t get over it! I am no stranger to F-Bodies either (have owned a 94 V6 Camaro, 96 Z28/SS and a 98 Firebird V6). I will post some picture but will have more up later (sorry for the crappy camera).

fbodyauto, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Don't let the "Only a V6" bother you...they're powerful. I have a 1LT myself and I don't even have the RS Package (not that the RS Package adds power...it doesn't). I bought mine simply for the ability to get a new car with the retro styling of the 1st Generation.

You will love yours as much as we love ours (I see you're no stranger to Camaro's). I too once owned a 1994 V6 Camaro...it was Polo Green Metallic with a Beige Interior.

Well thank you for the welcomes everyone! I am loving this car, I find myself making excuses to go out and drive it. I already drove 30 miles to get a new belt from target all to drive it!

I have always loved and drove F-Bodies and this one is the best one yet (my 96 Z28 was sweet, but you can’t compare the 2 cars)! I’ve been a fan of this site for awhile and I look forward to talking to you all!
