The track is at sea level. The first pass was the one i just barely hung on to win. The cars had sat for an hour or so. The night was cool but dry im not sure of the da....it didnt seem to affect his car at all. Im going to do some data logging to see what the cars doing. Theres a track day fri im going to so ill get some answers with the help of my tuner.

Yea, that's a much stronger car down the back half of the track. He's got 11 second slips once he bolts on a DR. I would have expected you to be in the low 12's, something is definitely up. You've got the right idea, data log and see what's going on. I would expected a full bolt on auto car to be closer to 110mph, but with a much better ET - you should be smashing the 60' and 660'. Care to share the entire slip? Some times all the data will tell a little more of the story.

So, please correct me if I am wrong but 425whp sounds a little low for a coyote with boss intake/headers, etc...I know we cant race dyno's and I'm not sure what the 117 says about his rwhp but I was thinking that, in general, they were closer to 440-445 with his mods. Please feel free to correct/educate me.

I dont really know what to correct you on. The shop that did the work are Ford specialist that seem to really kbow their stuff.. Dyno numbers vary from region to make to weather. I dont know anyone else that has a 11 to 14 Mustang with mods to compare. Well auctually i do know a guy ....he has a 2012 thats stock except a cai. He went to Steeda performance on a dyno day. He claims his car did 425 rwhp and 440 ft lbs of torque. He has the dyno sheet to prove it. So dyno numbers are just a number.....trapping 117 while still peddling 2nd seems pretty good to me. He thinks the car has a little more. I havnt done it but maybe google what Mustangs with those mods are running. To me the track speaks kouder then any dyno....they are what they are. Im not done with him yet lol.

Mmmm something is way out of wack with your car. 85-1/8th. 107-1/4 are stock numbers for this time of year at sea level. I looked back at my last runs in the L99. It trapped 12.66@111.57 with a 1.89 sixty on the stock P zeros. In negative fall weather. That was imtake, tune, and Texas speed 1-7/8 headers. On a side note. 425whp is about right for the 5.0. Full bolt on cars are in the 440-450 range on E85.

Looks lazy all the way down the 1/8th including the 60', 1.89 on converter and DR's is pretty poor. Log, and discuss with your tuner. Almost seems like something you'd get if you were down on the low octane spark table. A lot of tuners just eliminate that table, maybe not in your case? Your weather condition doesn't seem to suggest you'd have been fighting really high IATs.

It really didn't do too bad on the back half, picked up 22mph which is probably within the realm of what to expect with a bolt on L99. I usually pick up 24-25mph (bolt on LS3), but auto and converter is going to hurt you a touch there. Definitely slow down the first half, which hurt the rest of the pass. It's all speculation till you have some data. Definitely interested to see how you make out.

I'm headed back next weekend, we'll see if I can take these street tires down a few more tenths in better DA - would be nice to earn a 12.5x slip on street tires before going for 11's on DRs. Going to need the street tire 60' of a lifetime.

Are you saying that approx 425whp is stock? If you are talking stock, seems all the ones I have seen stock were in the 380sh area. What is considered full bolt on? I think he said that it had boss intake, headers, intake etc...I assumed that would be fairly full bolt on.

Well the weather was nice with the sun out when i was at thextrack saturday. But once it went down the track prep wasnt good and it started getting wet down track. They issued a few warnings before shutting it down early because of the moisture. With cars starting to get a little loose i think it was a good call.
