Vengeance Racing built C7 Z06 headed to Miami making 732rwhp on E85!

Back in the early part of 2018 we were contacted by a gentleman out of Miami, FL that was looking for a performance upgrade on his C7 Z06. Billy’s main focus for the project was to maximize the performance achievable with the stock LT4 supercharger for now, but with the plan in mind to upgrade to either a Whipple or Procharger system in the future and not have to throw away a lot of what we were doing in this phase. For this, we landed on a modified version of our Stage 3 performance package that consisted of the following:
• Vengeance Racing Cam Kit Plus w/ Stage III LT4 Camshaft
• Innovators West 18% Overdrive Balancer Kit
• American Racing Longtube Header System and X-Pipe
• Halltech Cold Air Intake System
• AlkyControl Dual Nozzle Methanol Injection System
• Vengeance Racing Flex Fuel Sensor Kit
• Circle D 258mm Pro-Series Torque Converter

Billy decided to make the 11+ hour drive up to our facility to drop off the car personally, and caught a flight home while our technicians worked their magic on the build. The key component of this build would be our Stage III LT4 camshaft which is our largest camshaft profile offered that retains VVT and provides adequate PTV clearance. This camshaft does require a higher stall speed torque converter which Circle-D supplied to us on this build with a 3,000 RPM stall speed. For supporting bolt-ons, a Halltech cold air intake and American Racing longtube headers/x-pipe were installed, along with an Innovators West 18% overdrive balancer. We opted on this build to not port the supercharger or add an upper pulley as both items would ultimately be negated down the road when the aftermarket supercharger system was installed. Lastly, we added our flex fuel sensor kit for E85 fuel, as well as a dual nozzle methanol injection system for added octane on 93 fuel, additional fueling capability, and reduced intake air temperatures.

Once the build was complete it was time to complete both street and dyno tuning on both fuels. On 93 octane Billy’s Z06 made a solid 677rwhp and 717rwtq, and finally landed on an output of 732rwhp and 766rwtq on pump E85. The car was making a moderate 12.5psi on boost and had perfect fueling on both options. The car provided explosive power throughout the RPM range, extremely mild drivability characteristics, and most importantly the sound and attitude that our customer was seeking with a package like this. Billy flew back into town the next week to take delivery of the car and may have cut down the return trip drive time with the added horsepower!
