Loving my setup currently, but already want more. Looking to break the 700rwhp line. Thought about an e85 erl 454 n/a, but I'd do a complete build and keep this ls3i have for a Sandrail. I don't have the $20-25k it would take to do it right so now I'm looking at boost options...

Thing about FI over a big NA build is driveability and gas mileage. My 1200rwhp vette drives almost like stock. A 550rwhp cammed one drives like crap compared to my car. Plus 700rwhp on even a crazy 454 is a very hard thing to do. Low 600s, sure, but 700 becomes tough.
Anyone can bolt on a set of twins, and make 700rwhp with ease. Come up here and drive one, or I know there are 2-3 in Tucson.

Nah, gonna keep my options open. Might take Nick up on a ride in a tt car when I'm ready to pull the trigger, which will be next winter at the earliest.
Isn't it the general rule that 700rwhp is the max you want to put against a stock bottom end?

On good fuel and a turbo setup, 750-800rwhp has been done for a long long time reliably.
Remember turbos dont' take 50-70rwhp to spin so cylinder pressure/motor stress on a 750rwhp turbo setup would be similar to a 700rwhp blower setup.

Very true, and the 'free horsepower' idea behind turbo is what has always swayed me in their favor. Might quite possibly not make it even a year on this heads/cam package if I keep thinking like I have been thinking. Might have Pat g spec me another cam to get it started...

I'm at about the 550rwhp level with my SLP TVS2300 and even with 3.70's in my A6 I can pull down 21-22mpg highway. My convertible weighs 4500 with me in it and it drives so smooth. I set my car up as a GT car with full suspension and MPSS's and the addition of the SC made all the difference over a bolt on car. Drivability and multidimensional use with fair gas mileage makes the car enjoyable to drive.

I felt 3:45's wasn't much of an increase over the 3.27's and when I was just a bolt on car I always contemplated adding F.i. in the future and felt 3.70's would be the max. I really liked them, but, now with F.I. I love them. 2150 at 70mph and a real kick from rolls.

I would keep the gears you have. I switched to 3.45's when i had my maggie. 60ft and et stayed the same. Only difference was traction became more of a problem. You're not going to get traction with it now. More gear will just make it worst.

i debated between the ecs/adm kits for months before i finally decided on going with the ecs kit. My horsepower goal was 600+ and i felt that would be a gamble with a stage one base adm kit. Im at 680/602 and the car drives pretty much stock out of boost, i say pretty much because i have a btr stage 4 cam, but thats another story. Although the car is not my daily, it could be, and im very pleased with the outcome and my decision. TT's really were never an option for me just out of personal preference.....oil lines/return lines, scavenging pumps, etc....But they do make it easier if you want to make more power. You just need to figure out what are your horsepower goals and how you want it delivered
