Emissions sensor question

Is the emissions sensor the same thing as the O2 sensor? I've tried Google'ing for the emissions sensors and all I get as results talk about O2 sensor so I'm trying to see if it's the same thing.

Yes, the O2 sensors (there are 4 on your car) are the primary monitors for emissions compliance on the car.

I don't as I never wrote them down when Auto Zone told me what was wrong. They just said it was fuel and emissions sensors. My buddy has a reader and I'm meeting up with him today for some drinks so I'll get the codes and post them up. I'm hoping these are just simple fixes I can do as I don't have the $$ to spend to have a dealer do it.

Don't these codes stay in the ECU for some time? I heard that the smog guys can read the old code which never clears.

Autozone's policy prevents them from clearing the codes any longer, so they should still be there.

But even if they did clear them, as long as the problem persists the code will show back up in a few miles.

Any mods to your ride bigwayne?

Could be something as simple as a loose gas cap.

These are the codes:

P0453 P0463 P2068

Only mods are a K&N Aircharger CAI and MRT V1 exhaust which have both been on there for the majority of the 60k miles on the car.

Those codes all have something to do with the fuel tank!

P0453- fuel tank pressure sensor high.

P0463- fuel level sensor high

P2068- circuit "B" fuel level sensor high

Didn't fill up with hydrogen by accident did you?

Not sure but you might just be overfilled or have some contaminant in the gas. Or maybe it's just the gas cap going bad. Take it off and replace (I mean just take it off and put it back on!). Codes will clear if problems are corrected. You could also disconnect the battery to hurry things up.
Check any other codes here http://www.dtcsearch.com/P2068/.
