We have some great head and cam packages that pickup a ton of power. Now is there a certain power goal you were looking for. We offer street through race style setups. Now we also can use your current heads and redo them to flow better with a valve job and upgraded springs for the bigger lift cam. Let me know if you have any questions my name is Jake and you can call us at 313-561-5500 thank you

Like we all said earlier, use the aftermarket head with a 11 or 12 degree valve angle to get more PTV clearance so you can mill the heads more and gain compression for the E85 and maximum power.

Total Engine Airflow sells the TFS 255 and they blueprint assemble it with a good valve job, plus mill it to what you want. Just another option.

i cant give you conclusive feedback yet since the stock LS3 intake manifold restricts them and i havent been able to spin it up till at least 7500 to see what they can really do. The car still wants to go but after 6800, the heads still want more air to come in but the manifold cant provide it

im waiting for a couple of members with similar type setups as mine on here to post their dyno numbers on that LOD Speedworks manifold.

I don't know what it is about that manifold but the dyno results seem to be very elusive. Glad people are working on it but geez.

i think we're all waiting to get our hands on some good clear dyno sheets of before and after OEM LS3/L.O.D. results. so that we can see what they do and how they compare throughout the entire rpm range

i dont doubt that it will make power past 7....as a matter of fact, im pretty sure it will. but im sure you're on the same boat as i am and want to see some torque gains throughout the curve as well

Our ported ls3 Head powers my car to 9.20s na sbe. That’s about 760 flywheel hp at my weight. Lb for lb it is one of the best heads out there. Our max package actually outpowers our ls3 setup by 20 or so on average.

if you're at stock cubic inch and are not going to spin it over 6800, the stock LS3 intake will be fine. Its almost unbeatable under 6800 rpms BUT, its gonna restrict the crap out of your heads. You will have spent the money just for the valve angles.

to max out compression and power you will have to go with 11/12/13 degree valve heads in order to have the additional PTV clearance after milling them in order to run the btr stage 3 or "bigger" cam. As zz430 and a couple others have mentioned, there are many aftermarket head choices for LS3s.

If you want to keep the power down low, go with the smaller runners like a TFS255

The bigger volume of the runners will make more power at higher rpms. Texas Speed PRC260, Mamo, GPI, AFR, MAST, Brodix, etc. etc.

And yes, you will benefit from E85 once you get past 11:1 SCR

My 2 cents, if you're gonna spend the money on some nice heads, spin that bitch. I've spun mine to 7200 and can testify that the motor wants to go more but the stock LS3 intake manifold is restricting the crap out of my of heads past 67ish and i know the motor can spin to 7500 easily
Ironically I have a super nice ls7 intake already!!!
How much can I safely spin it on stock rods and bolts

I really dont know the definitive answer for that. What i do know is that valvetrain control plays a huge part and driving conditions. It is not uncommon for SBE LS3 cars to spin up to 7500

look up "Rhino79" here in the members directory and hit him up for more info. He's with GPI and will have a better response for your question. He has the record for fastest SBE NA LS3

My builder just suggested AFR Mongoose heads to add to my LS3 Cam setup which I am replacing the lifters for and want more power.

Is it worth it to add these heads with a 220/230 cam?
