Johnson Lifter Which One ?!?
Hey Guys,
I've searched around this forum, but I couldn't get any solid info on which lifter is more suitable for a cam'd LS3 camaro. I would be going with the Johnson 21X6 reduced travel lifter (note there is also a short travel variant that is more akin to solid lifters). I'm looking at either Johnson 2126LSR vs the Johnson 2116LSR. The main hesitation with the 2126 (beyond price ) is that they are equipped with axle oiling which will reduce oil pressure. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with running the 2126LSR lifter with 30 weight oil with the stock oil pump on the LS3? Did you notice an appreciable drop in oil pressure? This is the 2126 with extra orifice for axle oiling Thanks! Last edited by shinzzerz; 12-08-2020 at 03:43 PM. |

I have the 2116lsr. I run 5w30 Royal Purple. With Yella Terra rockers, I machined all the pedestals to allow .040 preload... the valvetrain is quiet

Thanks for all of the info I appreciate it. I think I'm going to go with the 2116LSRs. Those lifters seem to fit the bill for what I need.
