Stock bottom end to 416
I swapped my valvetrain and heads over from my old build to the new one so this is 376 vs 416.
Kudos to Scott Culbert at Gen 3 Performance and Dyno for getting it straightened out. There it is in black and white(and red and green) difference between stock bottom end and 416 bottom end. Blake Winslett gave me a hand on swapping the LSA injectors out to the FIC 72lb ones since I knew it was gonna be thirsty(which it was on E85, they are at 95% DIC). Thanx to Terry Wilkes for assembling my shortblock at Wilkes Performance. Also Jason Mangum at Texas Speed and Performance on the parts selection on valvetrain and PRC 260s. Cam is 243/255 in both. Red is 93 pump stock bottom end Blue is 93 pump 416 Green is E85 416

Been driving it around some Friday and today. I'm loving the fatter torque curve. I did tighten my 6000 stall up when I swapped engines because I knew the added torque would make the converter stall higher and I was right. I went back to my first 8" stall that I ran before. It stalls out at 5500-5600 now. It should loosen up a touch once I get some more miles on it. You can see the difference in stalls in the dyno sheet. I'm making almost exactly 100hp/60tq more now than the last time I ran this stall. 437/389 was what I made stock bottom end, stock manifold, stock ported heads and BTR3 cam.

If it were still a manual I figure it would be 580/510 based on my previous testing between manual and th400.

Peak HP wise correct. Through the curve is huge. I'm over 40tq in some spots.

People ask how I like the 416 compared to the 376 since all I changed was the bottom end. I tell them it's like giving someone a spin in the car and you can tell the added weight is there. The stroker feels like I had someone in the car with me the whole time with the previous build and they finally got out lol.

The added torque is always nice to have. I always thought the 416 needs a large cross section area intake runner, larger valve and a large volume plenum intake to make lots of power up top. Kinda like a LS7
