500 RWHP
How to get to 500 RWHP???
I'm at 386 right now. I know a cam, headers, hi flo cats, x pipe, and an underdrive pulley will get me to around 450. But how to get to 500 from that?? Hmmm Any ideas??

Skip all that and get a Maggie or a Kenny Bell.

with all this - maybe a more aggressive cam - and then finally a custom tune (HP) may get you there - it would be close.

I've been wondering the same thing and did a little searching around. Right now I have Jannetty's 415 rwhp package. His next package includes a cam and ups hp to 445. 2010 2-tone is probably right about going FI. The extra 55 horses required to get you to 500 rwhp is probably going to cost a bunch and may result in a car that not as streetable, as a daily driver, than if you went FI.

Supercharger or a shot of NOS.
Also realize that you'll need to find a way to get that power to the ground. Just adding more power doesn't mean you can really use it. You might considering changing out the differential bushings and adding trailing arms and toe rods. This will definately help you at the track....along with a set of drag radials. You could also change out the gears and even though you won't have the HP on the dyno you'll by far feel it in the but dyno.

A well selected Heads/cam + full bolt ons should get you there.

Did you have any problems with the installation or after it with your Kooks headers??

Here's an interesting read on a cam only (with bolt ons) that made 490+ rwhp. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=cam+500+rwhp |

Shooting for dyno numbers is stupid. I can make your dyno show 600rwhp if you want... I'd modify based on how you want the car to act and worry about the dyno numbers last.
