Camaro ss engine cover mod!

been looking around for coil pack covers for quite sometime and just didnt want to pay for whats available, so i decided since im never going to use the factory piece anymore, why not hack it up!
Simply scored the indention over and over with a razor blade until plastic seperated for a nice clean cut. Fit check for new mounting points, then strategically placed zip ties! Keeps the nice look of the ls intake , but covers up coil packs! , added a ls3 decal to the intake as well, turned out pretty clean IMO

Wow man, I am very impressed. That came out great.

You get the best of both worlds. Able to cover the coils and still see the engine...all while recycling your original engine cover. First glance you instantly recognize the cover, but you also get that iconic LS style intake instead of the phony runners molded into the cover.

I think I may steal this idea. Thank you.

I've considered painting mine but the 'Crystal Red Metallic' is a three step process, I'm told. And comes with a price. Anything less than a match would be cheesy for me. But that looks great!

I picked up a set of vinyl 3d carbon fiber letters from reflective concepts. Fit great and still look almost new after 2 years. Don't know who has the better price, but you might want to check them out as well
